About Thunder Lane
Thunder Lane builds hand-assembled, bespoke-valved suspension for drivers who actually use their cars — Racing, Time Attack, Hill Climb, Autocross, HPDE, and the fast street miles in between. We are not a catalog brand reselling shelf stock. Every coilover we ship is built to order and valved around one specific car, one set of tires, and one driver's goals.
We are based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and every set is assembled 100% in-house in Kraków, Poland — no outsourced assembly, no pre-built inventory sitting in a warehouse.
Built to Order, Not Off the Shelf
Most suspension is designed for an average driver who does not exist. A single spring rate and a single valving curve get applied to every customer on a platform, and everyone compromises equally.
We work the other way around. Before your set is built, we talk through the car, your tires, your alignment, your events, and how you actually want it to feel. Spring rates are finalized with you before production begins. Valving is specified for that combination. If your goals change later — more aero, stickier tires, a move from HPDE to competition — the dampers are fully rebuildable and re-valvable rather than disposable.
That is also why we do not treat "track" and "street" as opposites. The compliance required to control a car properly on track usually makes it better on the street, not worse. Controlling the platform means controlling body motion, and that pays off on broken pavement as much as it does on curbing.
Three Systems, One Philosophy
TL-ONE — Single-Adjustable Coilovers
Our single-adjustable platform, with 20-click rebound adjustment and meaningful separation between circuits. Serious track capability without unnecessary tuning complexity — the right foundation for HPDE, autocross, time attack, and dual-duty street builds.
TL-PRO — True 3-Way Coilovers
Our flagship. Independent rebound, low-speed compression, and high-speed compression with remote reservoirs, so you can tune transient response and impact management separately. Built for drivers chasing tenths across changing surfaces, tire compounds, and aero loads.
TL-HAS — Height-Adjustable Springs
For owners who like how their factory adaptive dampers drive but want real control over ride height and corner balance. TL-HAS lowers the car and adds independent front and rear height adjustment while keeping OEM electronic damping — BMW Adaptive M / EDC, Porsche PASM — and every driver-assistance feature fully operational.

The Hardware
Every Thunder Lane coilover is built on the same engineering standard, regardless of platform or price:
- 46mm monotube dampers for consistent performance and heat management through long sessions
- Advanced piston technology for stable damping across a wide operating range
- Check valve architecture so adjustments stay focused and predictable, without compression crosstalk
- Electroplated damper bodies for corrosion resistance and long service life
- Spherical bushing top hats for precise steering feel and repeatable alignment under load
- Camber plates included where the application supports them
- Fully rebuildable and re-valvable, with individual replacement parts available
Dyno Graphs With Every Set
Every order ships with CVP and PVP dyno graphs documenting how your specific dampers were built. Not a marketing chart for the product line — the actual measured behavior of your set. It lets you verify what you bought, document your baseline, and make informed changes later. We think that kind of transparency should be standard, and it still mostly is not.
New to reading them? We wrote a guide: How to Read Shock Dyno Sheets.
Proven Where It Counts
Thunder Lane suspension has a track record on competitive cars across Time Attack, Hill Climb, and circuit racing — including track records set at NCCAR on TL-ONE coilovers. This is a driver-run operation: the people specifying your valving compete on the same surfaces you do, which is why the conversation before your build sounds like a setup discussion rather than a sales call.
If you compete, ask about our contingency program — eligible drivers can earn product credit for participation and results.
What to Expect
- Made to order. Nothing ships from a shelf. See Shipping & Handling for current build lead times and transit estimates.
- Free shipping to the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Central America.
- 6-month warranty covering unreasonable wear and defects. Track damage is excluded — we are straightforward about that rather than burying it.
- Support after the sale. Rebuilds, re-valving, and replacement parts are available as your build evolves.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where are Thunder Lane coilovers made?
Every set is assembled 100% in-house in Kraków, Poland, built to order for the specific customer. Thunder Lane is based in Raleigh, North Carolina and serves customers across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Central America.
What makes Thunder Lane different from off-the-shelf coilovers?
Nothing is pre-built. Spring rates are finalized with you before production, valving is specified for your car, tires, and goals, and every set ships with CVP and PVP dyno graphs documenting how it was actually built.
Are Thunder Lane coilovers streetable?
Yes. Every kit can be valved specifically for street use, and even track-oriented valving is often more comfortable than expected — controlling the platform better also controls body motion better on the street.
What is the difference between TL-ONE, TL-PRO, and TL-HAS?
TL-ONE is a single-adjustable coilover with 20-click rebound. TL-PRO is a true 3-way coilover with independent rebound plus low-speed and high-speed compression and remote reservoirs. TL-HAS is a height-adjustable spring kit that lowers the car while keeping the factory adaptive dampers active.
Can the dampers be rebuilt or re-valved later?
Yes. Every damper is fully rebuildable, serviceable, and re-valvable, with individual replacement parts available as your tires, alignment, or use case change.
