A TL-HAS kit takes the opposite approach: it keeps your factory dampers and replaces only the springs with height-adjustable hardware. That means your car's adaptive damping and driver-assist systems keep working exactly as the factory intended — no error lights, no lost comfort modes — while you gain real control over ride height. If your car's adaptive dampers are one of its best features, throwing them away to gain a manual knob can be a step sideways, not forward.
