Anthony Guarnieri Breaks Track Records at NCCAR with TL-ONE Coilovers

At the most recent NCR SCCA Time Trial event at North Carolina Center For Automotive Research (NCCAR), sponsored driver Anthony Guarnieri (@ag_g35) set a new standard for production vehicle performance. Behind the wheel of his VHR-swapped Infiniti G35 Coupe, Anthony ran a stunning 1:27.8 lap in practice—shattering the previous track record of 1:29.989, held by Jason Whitt, owner of DFA Performance and driver of their BMW M4.

A key factor in this performance was the TL-ONE Coilover kit from Thunder Lane (thunderlane.us). The system’s precise damping, cornering stability, and adjustable settings allowed Anthony to extract the maximum performance from his car, ensuring consistent speed through every segment of the track.

Anthony didn’t just win overall—he dominated every individual segment of the track, setting himself apart from a competitive field that included Rob Wilmoth, SCCA TT National Tour Max 2 Season Champion, and Jason Whitt. Despite a power deficit, Anthony leveraged superior handling, setup, and driver skill to achieve his historic result.

By breaking the previous record by over 2 seconds, Anthony’s performance highlights how a well-balanced car with precision suspension like the TL-ONE Coilover kit can outperform vehicles with significantly higher horsepower, especially on a technical track like NCCAR.

For enthusiasts aiming to maximize track performance without chasing horsepower alone, the TL-ONE system is a proven solution. Learn more at TL-ONE Coilover Kit for Infiniti G35 and Nissan 350z.
